Mountain Valley Academy (MVA) is a Junior High and High School serving children with complex educational, emotional, and behavioral challenges. MVA was founded in 2016 to serve students referred to us by parents and school districts in collaboration with IEP teams. Students progress at their own pace with an emphasis on their personal interests in alignment with IEPs.
MVA class size averages six (6) students. Teachers are credentialed in special education and classroom aides and mental health workers are available to provide additional attention and support throughout the day. Our curriculum meets Common Core State Standards and the CA State Curriculum. MVA also offers multiple credit recovery opportunities as well as a wide variety of extracurricular activities.
MVA adheres to Common Core Standards but also focuses on each student’s special needs and success.
