Mountain Valley Academy (MVA) offers special education students a unique and enriching residential school experience. Our students are supported in meeting and managing academic and behavioral challenges in a supportive rural, living, and learning environment.
We have developed MVA to serve students referred to us by parents and school districts in collaboration with IEP teams. Our experience over the past 50 years has shown us that special education students thrive in an enriched academic environment free from outside influences and pressures.
At MVA we help students gain the skills they need for success when they return to their homes and school communities. Our approach is based on building meaningful relationships through a trauma-informed therapeutic model that encourages healing and academic progress.
